Walter John Michaels, IV

Walter J. Michaels, IV, of St. John, Indiana, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the age of 28.

He was born in Munster, Indiana, on April 5, 1994, he was one of two children of Walter and Lorraine Michaels.

At a young age J's compassion was demonstrated through his love for animals.  As he got older his interests expanded to music, cars, and art projects to express his creativity.

Throughout his years he enjoyed sleepovers at grandma's with his cousins, watching movies with his parents and spending time with his family.

J will be missed greatly by his mother, father, brother, grandparents, cousins, aunts, great aunts, uncles, great uncles and friends.

Those who survive with his memories to cherish include his parents, Walter and Lorraine Michaels; brother, Justin Michaels; grandma, Betty Snyder; grandpa, Walter Michaels, Jr.; uncles, Robert (Gail) Snyder Jr., Chris Michaels, Brian (Nikki) Michaels; aunts, Beth (Jeff) Pelot; his cousins, Nathan, Austin, Emma, Andrew, and Samantha.

He was preceded in passing by his grandma, Judy Michaels, and grandpa, Robert Snyder, Sr.

Visitation Friday, October 28, 2022, 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 29, 2022, 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408.  Burial Saturday, October 29, 2022, immediately following service.
