William Larry Allen

William Larry Allen, age 77, beloved companion, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, was born in Columbus, Georgia to Mary Hollis and Robert Allen.

"Allen", as he was lovingly known in Gary, Indiana, was a veteran of the United States Army, and was employed by the United States Post Office and Nipsco, he was a retiree from both companies.

He was a loving and kind-hearted person.  He would literally give you anything.  he loved sports, especially college basketball, but most of all, he loved all of his grandchildren.

William L. Allen passed away November 12, 2022, at his home with his companion of 45 years, Liberty Flournoy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Robert Allen; sister, Toni Pearce, and brother, William A. Allen

 He is survived by his companion, Liberty Flournoy; two daughters, Tracey Allen (Fiance')  Ranzy Clark of Gary, Indiana and Sherrell Flournoy of Mooresville, North Carolina; son, Brian (Rebecca) Woods of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren, Raziah, Zariah, TyNiece, TyAnna, Bryn, and Reagan; two special nieces, Terri Farley and Tanya Edwards, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

Visitation Wednesday, November 23, 2022, 12:00 p.m.- 1:00 p.m. with Funeral Service 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408.
