Yvonne Neal

Yvonne Clemette (Lloyd) Neal was born February 25, 1938. On August 11, 2024, Yvonne passed away surrounded by her loved ones.

Yvonne graduated from Gary Roosevelt High School, class of 1957. She was employed at Slick's Laundry and Big Wheel Restaurant, both in Gary. It was at Slick's where she met and later married the love of her life of 62 years, Walter Neal. She loved spending her time doing word search puzzles, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and grand dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Sylvannous and Rebecca Lloyd; husband, Walter Neal; daughter, Patricia Neal; brothers, Donald and Frederick Lloyd; sisters, Harriet Brazell and Dorothy Jones.

Yvonne is survived by her daughters, Yvette of Gary, Indiana, Tara of Evansville, Indiana, and Tonya Neal; only grandson, Immanuel Protho; granddaughters, Victoria McFerson, Veronica McFerson (Ronnie) Hall, and Zandra Clements; sisters, Myrtle Lenoir and Joan Lloyd, along with a host of great-grandchildren; nieces, and nephews, all of whom will deeply miss and cherish her in their hearts forever.

Visitation Tuesday, August 20, 2024, 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with Homegoing Services 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408. Interment Ridgelawn cemetery 4401 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408.
